Empowered by Play

The San Luis Obispo Children’s Museum is home to The Thinkery, a museum-based enrichment program of natural curiosity that empowers kids to ask questions and encourages their innate sense of wonder and creativity.

Led by director, Karen Ames, The Thinkery provides a unique environment where children between the ages of two and five years old can create, explore & discover. The Children’s Museum’s 8,400 square foot facility features an art center, outdoor playscape and three floors of exhibits designed with imagination and interactivity in mind.
Museum time is built into every session. As children explore, they advance their thinking skills, increase their confidence as learners, demonstrate increased socialization and practice early literacy skills.
Each day at The Thinkery includes exploration of each of the Museum floors, story time, art activities, snack and playscape time.
When you ask your child what he or she did in school today, be prepared for some wonderful answers!

Registration is currently open.
