Brightly colored butterflies can be a welcome addition to your garden, not only because of their beauty but also because of their usefulness in pollinating flowers. Support the butterflies in your yard by mixing mashed fruit with a bit of water. This allows them to easily feed using their tongue-like mouth part, called a proboscis.

Make a butterfly feeder to hang in your yard by stringing colorful beads (that will attract butterflies) and attaching them to a base.
