Scrape Art Bunny

Squirt drops of paint onto a bunny cutout. Using a scraper tool, spread the paint to make a lively Spring-colored design. Add a fluffy tail.

Bunnies love to eat carrots. Paint a carrot garden using your fingertips dipped in orange paint.
Shamrock Suncatcher
March 14–18
Adhere green glitter and paper between two layers of sticky contact paper, then cut it into a shamrock shape. Hang your suncatcher in a window and you will see beautiful shades of green shining through.
Fun Fizzing Treasure Rocks

Baking soda + vinegar can be fun to mix! Why? Because together they make carbonic acid, which is unstable and breaks apart into separate carbon dioxide and water, resulting in bubbles.
What will YOU find in your baking soda “treasure” rock after you pour a bit of vinegar on it?
March 7 – 11 Blarney Stone
A Blarney Stone is a block of limestone built into the battlements of Blarney Castle in Ireland. Legend has it that the stone gives the gift of “gab" to those who kiss it.
Paint and decorate your own Blarney Stone.
3D Construction Paper Strip Rainbow
March 1–4
Curve and glue strips of rainbow paper onto a cardstock base. Add fluffy clouds on each end of the rainbow.
Make a red, lighted, paper Chinese lantern. Red lanterns symbolize reunion and honor, and are hung on the fifteenth day of the first month of the Chinese New Year.
Glue small pieces of tissue paper onto branches to create a pretty bouquet of cherry blossoms.

Gung Hay Fat Choy/Happy New Year! Use a paper plate to make a Bolang Gu to play in celebration of the Chinese New Year.
The Lunar New Year marks the beginning of the traditional Chinese calendar, and is based on the orbit of the moon. Each year is represented by one of twelve zodiac signs. This year’s zodiac animal is a dragon! Make a colorful paper dragon puppet you can control using wooden dowels.
The Central Coast Autism Spectrum Center will be hosting an activity in The Studio this month! Combine science and art by making Fizzing Heart Art using vinegar, baking soda and food coloring. Join us!

Dip petal-shaped sponges into bright red paint and print beautiful poinsettia flowers. Did you know the history of poinsettias goes back to the Aztec times when they were used to make dye?
Create a puzzle-piece frame, then take it home and add a picture of yourself. Gift it to someone special!
Choose a Scrabble-letter word to glue onto a burlap ribbon. Add a gold bow and you have a great ornament or decoration!
Fill an ornament with silver glitter then swirl it around. Tie a tiny, shiny dove charm to the top to complete your ornament!

A white dove is often used as a symbol of peace. Paint a wooden dove cutout with glue, and sprinkle it with snow-white glitter. Add a bit of greenery and red wooden heart.
